Over four months, the Global Health Fund portfolio advanced child health, maternal care, nutrition, and disease prevention programs across more than 20 countries. Together, participating nonprofits delivered billions of health interventions, expanded vaccination access, strengthened maternal health systems, improved nutrition outcomes, and advanced evidence-based solutions that save lives at scale.

Child Health & Disease Prevention at Scale
Evidence Action’s Deworm the World program surpassed 2.2 billion cumulative treatments globally, demonstrating the power of evidence-based interventions delivered at national scale. Programs across Nigeria, Kenya, and other countries continued reducing disease burden while strengthening government partnerships.
Childhood Vaccination & Immunization Access
New Incentives expanded childhood vaccination access in northern Nigeria through cash incentives, community engagement, and caregiver support, enrolling millions of additional infants and helping families complete lifesaving immunization schedules.
Maternal & Newborn Health
Partners In Health expanded maternal care infrastructure through the opening of the Paul E. Farmer Maternal Center of Excellence in Sierra Leone, while strengthening healthcare systems through nurse-midwife training and mobile health services.
Mental Health & Family Wellness
Give an Hour, Project Sanctuary, and partners expanded peer support, counseling, and mental health programming while responding to growing demand from veterans and military families.
Nutrition Security & Malnutrition Prevention
Helen Keller International expanded nutrition programming, vitamin A supplementation, and food security initiatives across Africa and Asia, reaching millions of children, mothers, and communities with essential health services.
Disease Surveillance & Health Systems Strengthening
Evidence Action advanced disease prevention through programs like Syphilis-Free Start in Zambia and its Multiple Micronutrient Supplementation pilot in Nigeria, demonstrating how successful interventions can transition into national health systems.
